Sometimes Javascript is the ticket.

Jquery

I’ve been living in Swift iOS, watchOS, and tvOS land for quite some time. Today I wanted to make a prototype of something implementing some public API. GETs and POSTs of goodness. A rich user interface. Within the span of six hours it was done. A complex system and rich interactions all buttoned up with HTML, CSS, and Javascript (jQuery really). I was kind of amazed.

DOM dancing can be kind of fun. And it’s really fast nailing stuff down – with the help of a console. I prefer native implementations in a big way, but there seems to be room for quick web application work to get things done quickly. All I used was BBEdit too. Natch.
