Retire these Scarpas?

I’ve had these long before my run into health issues, getting back in shape afterwards, and since. They have served me perfectly for about six years now without failure.

They have been through streams, creeks, snow, dusty hiking trails, and through sharp rock formations. I purchased a replacement pair of the same shoe but I haven’t worn them because these current Scarpa Margaritas have been good luck. They are dirty but solid. They’ve had many pairs of laces. They’ve gotten me out of the woods safely when I’ve forgotten my head lamp.

They need to be retired. They really do. I’m an adult. It will be okay. They have just been so incredibly comfortable and trustworthy. I’ll be a little sad.
