Today I took care of a few things. Had my automobile looked at, oil changed, tires rotated, and while waiting had a nice chat with a Russian woman who speaks with a French accent about the French Open. Its was unusual and actually quite fun.
I then did some marketing – for ingredients for homemade vegetable soup and also provisions to create a chickpea salad to put on top of avocado toast. There was no Sola bread available so I went with a different low-carb variety. {Paired with the fats in the avocado it helps to slow digestion and prevent glucose spikes. I made the soup – but I’ll wait until some refrigerator storage containers arrive on Monday to make the salad.
A lot of rain today which prevented a quick drive to Newport, Rhode Island – but I have picnic items for myself and Cody (11 year-old puppy) for Breton Point. I have my gas stove to brew some coffee, various cheeses, meats, salads, and greens for nibbling while enjoying a sunny and chilly oceanic breeze. We’ll have to get back in short order to procure some greeting cards to pop into the post come Monday.
Monday will be spent with the WWDC Keynote while I’m buried in Figma – and then later attending the State of the Union presentation to see the direction Apple is taking in regard to development and APIs.
Oh. And I think I need a nice navy linen shirt that will really last. I was thinking long sleeved polo but it can’t wear as easily. Linen is relegated to Spring snd Summer – but I will still get much more use from it I think.
