Recently on a trip with the family to a beach around Boston I took some photos. I didn’t use my tripod for a lot of the candid photos and the lens I had on was a powerful zoom. Suffice to say that most of the photographs were a touch blurry.
In regards to exposure, compensating for the lens being at 80mm (which equates to a little less sharp than optimal and also at a real 128mm since this was a cropped sensor DSLR), this photograph seemed to work pretty well. The color version was full of fairly drab greens from the beach grass and didn’t do a whole lot, so black & white was a natural progression.
