Coding in comfort: Bose AE2w BT headphones

I’ll preface this with the fact that I listen to music all. day. long. Every working day. iTunes, iRadio, and Spotify. Right now I am listening to Intervals’ In Time EP. On my Bose AE (around ear) w (wireless) BT headphones.

Since they are around ear, I can easily (and do) wear these all day. They are paired over BT to my Mac Pro desktop – and once paired all I need to do is turn them on, and they auto-pair again. I get up and go to the scanner/printer and keep listening to my music. I can get things out of drawers, throw stuff out, generally move about as if I weren’t wearing headphones – but I am.

Freedom. How do they sound? Awesome. When I need to charge these over micro-USB, I’ll put my QCs on – and when I go back I only really miss the bit of noise cancellation. My area is pretty quiet most of the time, so it’s not like they were killing much noise anyway.

If you listen to music all day designing and coding you need these cans. For $250 you really can’t go wrong. I’ve been wearing them every working day for weeks and weeks. I forget they are even on – when I walk out the door at the end of the day, I just pair them up to my iPhone and turn the volume down. Did I say that? Shhh…
